Fted as the Tea of the Emperor Lung Ching tea), translated literally as Dragon Well, pronounced'Long Jing' in Chinese; is a supreme pan-roasted green tea from Longjing VillageĀ  in Hangzhou , Zhejiang Province of China.

These lustrous leaves are hand roasted early in processing (after picking) to stop the natural oxidation process early,this imparts an alluring quality which infuses to offer a satisfyingly brisk brew that is well-balanced between subtlety of umami sugariness and depth of herbaceous undertone of a grassy meadow.

Thanks to its unique characteristics of distinctive emerald-green flat leaves, a delicate inviting aroma, and a mellow finish with an unmistakably sweet lingering sensation, this Long Jing tea is well regarded amongst the green tea lovers and ranks as the finest amongst the ten most famous Chinese teas.

How to Brew

  • Use 1 teaspoon of leaves (roughly 3g) for each person you are brewing tea for.
  • Let your water cool a little, around 75 - 85 degrees is perfect.
  • Steep for 2-3 minutes according to taste.
  • Reuse the leaves a further 3 times, by simply adding more hot water.
